I hope you’re all well.
So yesterday I went and visited my best friend, and we did a bit of shopping and went for lunch. I injured my bank balance quite badly, buying lots of clothes, shoes, pamper items from Lush, and most importantly, MAKEUP!
I thought I’d show you what makeup I bought, in the form of a Luxury Makeup Haul, as all the makeup is high end, and I know I love reading these types of blog posts.
So without further ado, let’s see what I bought!
The first thing I picked up is something I have wanted for SO long; it’s the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray.
I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to get this beauty, I’ve heard nothing but amazing reviews for it, so I’m literally so excited to try it. I’ve used Mac Fix + for a while and I’m not too sure what I feel about it, so giving this a go was definitely on the cards. It cost £22, and for the size of the bottle and the fact it’s Urban Decay, I don’t think that’s too bad. It has 230 reviews on the Urban Decay website, and has 4.8 out of 5 stars, so it’s basically going to be amazing.
The next thing I picked up was the YSL Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils in Radical Noir.
When I interviewed Sam Chapman from Pixiwoo (still not over that) she said this was one of her top 5 holy grail beauty products, so of course I had to pick it up and try it. It cost £25, a lot more expensive than my much loved Maybelline Lash Sensational, but it’s from a very high end brand and if it’s as good as I’ve been told, it’s worth it!
The next item I got, was the MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Good Timing.
I’m SO in love with this colour, it’s just the most gorgeous light pink shade. MAC’s Soar has always been my go-to lipliner, but I feel like this may take over. It goes perfectly with MAC’s Crème Cup lipstick, and it is so buttery and soft so I’m really excited to give this a go especially with Spring now here. This cost me £15.
Next was the MAC Eye Kohl in Minted.
Now, you may feel this is an odd choice for a pencil eyeliner, but I totally fell in love with I swatched this (there’s no swatches in this post because I am going to do a Swatches & First Impressions blog post once I’ve tried everything). It’s such an intense and beauty deep green shade, and I am going to wear it with a black liquid liner, with the green as a line on top of it in the Spring. This pencil cost £14.
The next item, and the last item I got from MAC, was the MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil in So There Jade.
This is definitely one of my favourite items I picked up; in the photo it looks very similar to the other eye pencil, however this is a much more glistening aqua shade, and I’m completely in love with it. I think it will look absolutely gorgeous in the Summer on my lower lash line. The Powerpoint pencil cost me £14 as well.
The last thing I got was definitely my favourite, and the post indulgent purchase, was this absolutely beautiful Chanel Stylo Eyeshadow in 157 Beige Dore.
It is an absolutely stunning champagne colour, and it’s so creamy and pigmented. I am so excited to wear it. It also cost £23, which I think is extremely reasonable for Chanel. I know a lot of you may think that’s ridiculous, but to me that’s quite good for such an amazing quality product.
So that’s everything I bought! I know this isn’t a huge haul but as each product is pretty expensive, I thought it was enough for a haul.
I am so happy with everything I bought, everything is so gorgeous and I can’t wait to let you all know what I think of all the products.
Have a lovely bank holiday weekend!
All my love BGP xx
