I hope you all had a lovely weekend! The past few months my weekends have been fairly uneventful – if I have done something then it’s usually just been one day of the weekend, and the rest has been spent blogging and watching Netflix.
This weekend, I was jam packed, out for dinner and drinks Friday, a lovely day out with my mum which I’m going to tell you all about in this post today, and out again Sunday. It’s fair to say I’m pretty exhausted now on Sunday evening, and I need a good sleep!
Right, so, I’m going off topic – Saturday.
On Saturday, myself and my mum went to Fabulous Nails & Lashes in Ringmer, near Lewes in Sussex. I live in Brighton, but it literally takes about 10/15 minutes to drive to. It’s so much quicker to get to than driving into Brighton centre on a Saturday, as you don’t get any traffic, and you also don’t have to pay for parking!
Fabulous Nails & Lashes is a lovely little beauty salon, with prices a lot more reasonable than any salon I’ve visited before (and I’ve visited a lot). They do every type of manicure and pedicure you could wish for, brows, lashes, tinting, tanning, waxing, massages, facials, makeup and a whole host of amazing different Elemis treatments.
I hadn’t heard of Fabulous Nails & Lashes before but I’m so glad that we discovered it, as it was honestly such a lovely experience that I wanted to share with you all.
I don’t mean to tar all salons with the same brush, but in quite a few I’ve visited before, I’ve felt a bit…uncomfortable, shall we say? When there is lots of staff members and I feel like they’re raising their eyebrows at my shoddy nails or overgrown brows and thinking who is she? I’m sure that’s not the case in most salons, but I’ve been in a few where I’ve felt a bit on edge!
However, in Fabulous Nails & Lashes, the girls were so lovely. Like honestly, they were the sweetest girls ever. So polite, friendly and generally just the nicest and most genuine girls, who also took such time and precision with what they were doing.
My mum had a gel manicure and pedicure, and went for a gorgeous coral shade, and was thoroughly impressed with it. The lady who did both of our treatments, I think her name was Jess, and she was just lovely and so talented at her job.
What I love is that they look so real and natural, which is what my mum wanted. They just look like she is extremely talented at doing her nails and like they’re in great condition haha!
I decided to hold off on having a manicure and pedicure because I wanted to get mine done before going on holiday, and I’ve felt really stressed recently so I went for an Indian Head Massage instead, which I’ve never had before, and God was it worth it.
I had a half an hour Indian Head Massage, however it wasn’t just head, it was also my neck and entire chest area.
It was honestly the most relaxing experience ever. The massage table had a soft heated blanket, there was soothing music playing and dimmed light. The young lady (again, I’m sure her name is Jess, which I’m going to double check as I don’t want to be naming the wrong person!) was so talented. She let me inhale some soothing aromatherapy oils beforehand to relax, which really helped.
The massage was pretty much professional hair stroking, head, neck and chest massaging, and temple massaging! It was honestly the best thing ever. I’m going to make it my mission to go back at least once a month for one as it really de-stressed me. It’s difficult to explain what it was like and how amazingly relaxing it was, so all I can suggest is going for one yourself!
So, all in all, our experience at Fabulous Nails & Lashes was pretty much perfect. The salon is immaculate with gorgeous interior, the staff are amazing, and the treatments were fabulous.
This sounds silly, but as most of you know I suffer with anxiety, so I know how perhaps visiting a salon can sometimes be a bit nerve wracking. This may sound ridiculous to some people, but going into a different environment can sometimes be daunting and I completely understand, but I felt really at ease and comfortable in Fabulous Nails & Lashes, so if you live in Sussex, or will be visiting and want a pamper, I’d really recommend booking in.
Their website is getfabulous.co.uk where you can view all the treatments, prices, etc, and their contact number is there too.
I really hope you enjoyed this post and I’ll speak to you all soon!
All my love BGP xx
