My Top 5 Highlighters

Highlighter 1Hi everyone!

Today I’m going to talk you through my favourite highlighters, that will make you a glistening, glowing goddess who slays life and who’s cheeks blind members of the public.

Just an FYI, these are high end highlighters, and it’s not on purpose, it just so happens that my favourite highlighters happen to be high end (Mary Lou Manizer is middle ish end), so please don’t hate me for that!

So let’s get on with it (this is in no particular order).

Highlighter 2

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer (available here is a highlighter I’d heard a lot of people singing the praises of for a very long time until I tried it myself, and I’m so glad I did. It’s a gorgeous pearly sand shade, and it’s a dream to apply. Like all of the highlighters in this post, it has amazing pigmentation, and it just gives you that classic highlight without being too strong, so this is definitely a great highlighter for beginners.

BECCA Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop (available here is another cult product that everyone goes on about, and rightly so. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it. It’s pretty much pressed gold in a compact, and it’s the highlighter you want for every special occasion and night out. Crazy pigmented, sleek packaging, extremely buttery; it’s perfection, but not great if you’re on a budget.

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle is next up, and I feel like I’m being such a sheep because again, you’ve probably heard all about this cult classic. A pearly, iridescent pink highlighter that lasts a lifetime and looks so gorgeous in the summer. It looks amazing on all skin tones and the pigmentation is second to none. The only downside is there is no mirror in the compact.

Highlighter 3MAC Lustre Drops in Sun Rush are my next favourite, and this product is liquid gold in a bottle. I think the predominant use for this product is to add a few drops into foundations to add a glow, but I have used it as just a liquid highlighter, and it is undeniably gorgeous, and gives one of the strongest and most luxuriously golden finishes out of the bunch.

NARS Illuminator in Copacabana is last but not least; the most pearly of the highlights, this has a strong white undertone and is extremely pearly, but gives an equally beautiful finish. If other highlighters are too orange for your skin tone, this beauty is the one for you.
