A Day Out In Brighton September 2016

Hi everyone!

Today I thought I’d do a bit of a different blog post for you…a sort of YouTube vlog but written instead of filmed.

I went out for the day with my boyfriend in Brighton today and we did a few bits, nothing too exciting but I thought I’d share it with you all anyway!

We started off at my fave ever Brighton breakfast spot, Bill’s.

b-1b-2I literally love this place; their breakfasts are unreal, I’ve been coming here for years and I never get bored of it. My boyfriend had a cloudy apple juice (just in case you wondered why his drink looked like murky pond water) and Bill’s Breakfast, and I had orange juice and the same breakfast but with extra sausages because they’re really tiny but so good.

Next, we had a wander through the North Laines.

b-3It was a cloudy day with the occasional bit of rain but the Laines were still full of people and life.

We found the cutest little stall that sold wooden decorations, baby hairbrushes, chests and boxes that had little things carved on, and he could personalise them and carve your name onto them.

b-12We got a heart with our names carved into it and it’s so gorgeous and only cost £4! Bargain. I would show you the heart but as it has our names carved onto it, I better not haha.

b-8We did a bit of shopping in the Laines, and ended up in Bert’s Homestore for ages which basically sells every home related accessory, bit of stationary, cutlery, ornament, known to man, for really good prices and they’re so quirky.

b-4b-5b-6As you can see I fell in love with everything drinking-related. I’m going to come back and basically buy everything because I’m so obsessed with this shop. I’ve been in there before but never had a proper look around. Thoroughly recommend if you live in Brighton to nip in and have a look!

b-7I also found this card which literally sums up my way of thinking.

I wanted to buy everything in there but I narrowed it down to just one thing that I actually knew I needed; I’d been looking for some sort of platform to put my perfumes on and I discovered in there, a glass vintage looking cake stand for just £9.99, that was the perfect size.

I’ve taken a photo for you all to see what it looks like!

b-10After that, we then went to Ben’s Cookies which is just on Duke Street, and it’s a tiny little shop, well not even a shop really, they just have a kitchen out back and then a counter. And oh my goodness those cookies are UNREAL. I go out of my way to go there just because they’re so amazing. They’re the softest, most delicious cookies you’ve ever tasted in your life.

b-11Then, we went to the cinema to go and see a film called Don’t Breathe, which was a thriller and really bloody tense. I was literally on the edge of my seat the whole time with my hands half over my eyes!

I really recommend going to see it if you like thrillers.

So yes, that’s what I got up to today! I know this post is different to what I usually do but I just thought I’d share with you all what I got up to today! Tomorrow’s post will be a beauty related one if that’s more your cup of tea though!

Speak soon.

All my love BGP xx
