Happy Sunday. The national day of overeating and feeling sorry for yourself.
Today I wanted to show you what’s in this months Glossybox – for those of you who don’t know, it’s a monthly beauty subscription box, that sends you five beauty products, sometimes six, every single month for £10. But, you can sign up for a longer plan, for example a 12 month plan, and then it’s only £8.50 a month instead of £10.
This month, Glossybox teamed up with Red Magazine, and their beauty editor hand picked each item for the box which is cool, so I’m going to basically show you everything that’s inside this months box and then you can decide if you wanna treat yourself to it!
So, what’s in the box?
L’Occitane Precious Cleansing Foam 50ml worth £7 (full size 150ml version costs £19) – I’ve never tried anything from L’Occitane before and always wanted to, especially since they have a little shop in Brighton, so I was really happy to find this in my box this month. I’m always on the look out for new cleansers too, and that’s one of the things I love about Glossybox, the fact you can try new products and if you like them, you can go ahead and repurchase.
This contains immortelle floral water and it says it ‘gently cleanses and eliminates impurities’. It’s also perfect for travelling and you can fit it in your hand luggage!
Rodial Smokey Eye Pen worth £17 – I love Rodial’s skincare, but I never actually knew they did any makeup products, so I was surprised and happy to find this in my box. I’m never usually one for a black eye pencil – I have eye pencils in a thousand different colours, but I never go for black ones, because I just find them to never give me that Gigi Hadid smokey eye look, and just look watery and shit. I can’t speak for this one yet as I haven’t tried it, but it’s different to normal eye pencils that have the black tip and then the wooden edging. This is a black gel pencil the whole way through, and looks really buttery and creamy. It says it has a long lasting soft formula, gel effect and super rich pigment, so I’m really looking forward to trying this, especially as smokey eye season is upon us!
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara (unsure how much the travel size version costs, but the full size is £19) – I’m really ashamed to admit it, but I’ve never tried this mascara. I know, I’m a pathetic excuse for a makeup junkie and beauty blogger. But, I’ve been addicted to my YSL mascara/Maybelline Lash Sensational for so long, I never felt I needed to trial other holy grail mascaras. Well, when I opened my box and found this, I was so happy because I was like ‘FINALLY I CAN FOLLOW THE CROWD’. I’m so excited to try this, especially since even though it’s not the full size one, I think you could still get about 6 weeks/2 months worth of use out of this.
Revlon Color Stay Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat worth £7.99 – There’s not much to say here, we all know what a top coat does, it makes your half arsed nail varnish look shiny and pretty and like you actually got them done at a salon. This one sounds very fun, saying it gives a diamond like shine and is extra strong and ‘shatter proof’ – which is good, because my nail polish chips if I breathe, so hopefully this will keep it in tact!
Vitamasques Hydro Face Mask worth £7.99 – I love a face mask, especially a sheet mask as they’re so much easier to apply than paste or clay ones, and I’m always happy to add to my skincare shelf with new masks to apply for pamper nights. It says to leave it on for 30 minutes and it’ll apply 120 hours of skin hydration. It contains Rose of Jericho which optimises moisturise retention in the skin.
This months box also includes a sample of one of The Body Shop’s new face masks, which is great as I absolutely adore their skincare especially their masks, so if it’s good I’ll definitely be purchasing the full size.
As you can see, you get some amazing products this month and more than get your money’s worth. You can get yourself this months box here http://rstyle.me/ad/e9zkabxspp – if you end up getting it, let me know what you think of the products!
I hope you all enjoyed this post, and I’ll speak to you soon!
All my love BGP xx
