I hope you’re all well.
Today I wanted to share an absolute little gem with you all; the Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado. What. A. Dream.
So, I was suffering seriously badly with under eye bags and dark circles a couple of months ago. My makeup just didn’t look nice (to me personally anyway) because I just had these huge bags all the time. If I did heavy eye makeup, they looked bad and like I’d been out dancing on a bar all night, if I did simple eye makeup, they were even more noticeable and I just looked gaunt.
I tried so many eye creams, gels and treatments; expensive ones too, so I’d spent a lot of £££ trying to combat those pesky bags.
The Kiehl’s one got recommended to me by quite a few people, so I decided to go for it. At £20, it was cheaper than most that I’d tried.
Oh. My. Christ. (Serious Pam from Gavin & Stacey moment).
This little pot has revolutionized my face. As is obvious by the name, it contains avocado (avocado oil, to be precise), beta-carotene (a natural antioxidant found in orange/red vegetables, and is used a lot in producing Vitamin A), and shea butter which is a natural fat found in the fruit from the African Karate tree. It helps sort out dry skin and makes it more supple and hydrated.
I’ve been using this for hmm…2 months or more now? Maybe 2 and a half, and it has just made the biggest difference to my under eyes.
First of all, my under eyes are SO soft. To the touch, they feel like they did years ago, before I discovered prosecco and the stress of men. This is meaning my under eye concealer is applying a lot better, and I’ve got far less creasing or cakiness.
Second of all, the deep purple hued darkness I would have under my eyes have been dramatically reduced. Yes, I still have a slight tinge of darkness if I’ve not had a good nights sleep, or if I haven’t drunk enough water, or was out the night before, but day to day they have improved so much.
The actual bags themselves, which were quite deep set, have all but gone too. Now in photos, my under eyes do look smooth, as well as in person too. In photos was my main issue as they seemed to be really highlighted, and I just felt really down about it, but this little pot of magic has just completely changed that.
It’s a lime green/yellow shade, and honestly you only need a tiny bit, a pea sized amount or less. You delicately blend it in along the bone that runes under your eye (the orbital bone).
I apply this last in my skincare routine at night (I don’t wear this under makeup), after I’ve cleansed and moisturised etc. It’s actually the first eye cream/treatment I’ve found that doesn’t cause me any sensitivity whatsoever, so if you have sensitive skin especially in the eye area then this could definitely be the one for you.
I buy mine here, as that’s where I’ve found it to be cheapest.
I hope you enjoyed this post, and if you’ve got any questions about it feel free to message me on Twitter @btongirlprobs or on Instagram @thebrightongirl.
All my love BGP xx
