A Hair Refresh At Cove Hair, Brighton | AD

*Paid partnership with Cove Hair*

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well.

I get asked all the time for hairdresser recommendations in Brighton; the truth is I have been to so many, and I never tend to stick to one for long, so I never know what to say.

Cove Hair, is the hairdressers situated inside the Hilton Hotel in Brighton; I knew there was a hairdressers there but I’d never been there before. Justina, the owner, has recently taken it over and renovated it into a feminine, glamorous paradise and it’s my new go-to place.

It’s nestled deep inside the Hilton, away from the madness of Brighton. I like this because whenever I go to the hairdressers, it’s always mad and busy and bustling, which is fine if you’re coming in for a quick trim, but when you’re going for a long process such as a colour change, highlights etc, and you’re going to be sitting there for a while, you want to chill out and relax. Also, I’m usually hungover at the hairdressers, so relaxation is key to not have a breakdown.

They’ve recently added a really lovely flower wall into the salon, which obviously I love and now want to steal and have in my house for constant photo opportunities.

Cove uses high end products, likeĀ KMS Hair, all of which smell unbelievable. I like going somewhere where I know they’re using good quality products on my hair, as after years of abusing the poor thing and dying it every colour under the sun (literally every colour), it needs all the tender loving care it can get, trust me.

This is the before and after of my hair when going to Cove; I had an outgrown Balayage and it was looking quite brassy in places. Donna at Cove added ashy tones to it, blended it into my roots and gave it some life.

It looks a lot longer in my After photo, but I promise I don’t have extensions, I think it’s just the way it’s been styled!

I suit ashy hair a lot more than a brassy shade, and this is absolutely perfect for me; I had a low % peroxide with an ash based toner on top, and then a blow dry with some curls added in. My hair smelt an absolute dream after too.

I went back for a bouncy blowdry the other day as I was going out, and I managed to get a flower wall photo (completed it) as I’d hoped which I thought I’d show you all too…

(Having a brief hiatus from acrilycs with my nails…I’m so sad about it and so are my hands)

Cove also do extensions with Balmain hair, occasion, wedding and prom hair (literally so ideal if you’re at a wedding or getting married and staying at the Hilton…you don’t have to venture outside into the wind and rain to get your hair done, you can just walk downstairs!) and a whole range of other services. They also have a nail bar in there too.

I hope you all enjoyed this post, and if you pay a visit, let me know what you thought!
